Memory Path is a visual working memory task designed to assess the ability to recall and reproduce sequences. The task begins with a brief tutorial animation to guide participants through the rules. In each trial, blocks appear one by one at random locations on the screen. Participants must tap the blocks in the correct sequence—either in the same order on the screen (Forward) or in the reverse order (Reverse), depending on the version of the task:
Forward Memory Path: Tap the blocks in the same sequence they appeared.
Reverse Memory Path: Tap the blocks in the reverse sequence.
When the sequence is correctly recalled, the next trial becomes more challenging by adding one additional block. If a mistake is made, the participant receives feedback and a new sequence of the same length is presented in the next round. The task includes three rounds.
