N-Back

Dot Tap is an adapted version of the classic Dot-Probe paradigm. It is designed to quantify attentional bias toward food-related cues. In each trial, participants see two side-by-side images - typically one food image, one neutral. Shortly after a dot appears in the location of one of the images, and participants are instructed to tap the dot as quickly as possible. The pattern of reaction times can then be analyzed, with faster taps following food images indicating a stronger attentional bias toward food stimuli.

Customize:

  • Length of test (e.g., number of trials, number of seconds)
  • Images (e.g., food images can be switched for another construct of interest)
  • Allow participants to mute sound alerts during the task

Data collected:

  • Reaction time for food trials
  • Reaction time for neutral trials
